VirusProtect Pro (also known as VirusProtect, VirusProtectpro) is another rogue anti-spyware application that is very similar to SpyDawn and Spylocked. Usually, VirusProtect Pro is downloaded and installed via Zlob Trojans, which masquerade as video or audio codecs required viewing a movie or listening to an audio file. Once it is installed, VirusProtect Pro will scan your computer and provide exaggerated or false results stating that the only way to clean these "infections" is to purchase the commercial version of the application. Needless to say, VirusProtect Pro is not going to clean your computer from spyware but might actually expose you to more security threats.
