Nanocore malspam

Nanocore malspam is a dangerous computer infection because users are often not aware that they have it on-board. It is a Trojan infection, and so it enters your computer posing as something else. Something benign. However, if you fail to remove Nanocore malspam immediately, this Trojan can turn your computer into a zombie bot that can be used for various attacks online. You can find the manual removal instructions at the bottom of this description, but if you do not want to deal with the removal on your own, please feel free to acquire a reliable antispyware program that will do the job for you.

The point with such remote access tools (RAT) like Nanocore malspam is that they are often up for sale. This means that anyone can buy this infection and then modify it according to their likes and preferences. There might be various functions coded into this Trojan, but it is hard to tell what exactly it will do when it enters a target system because it will depend on the owner.

It’s not like Nanocore malspam is a new infection either. The truth is that this Trojan has been around since 2012, and it can be purchased for as little as $20. Of course, you need to know where to get it, but cybercriminals definitely know where to get their tools of the trade. Of course, since there can be so many versions of the same program, it makes it harder to research this infection, but we hope that you will still find this description useful.

For the most part, it is important to understand that you have to employ regular system scans with a reliable antispyware program to detect such infections as soon as possible. If Nanocore malspam makes use of your system resources to launch DDoS (distributed denial of service) attacks, you would probably notice that your computer has become sluggish, and it takes longer to load various programs. That could be the main sign of this malicious infection. However, other than that, it might be hard to notice anything out of the ordinary. Thus, regular system scans are a must.

Another thing that you should keep in mind is that it is possible to prevent Nanocore malspam from entering your computer if you are attentive enough. As far as we know, this RAT Trojan usually spreads through phishing emails. It means that the installer file could be attached to the phishing email, or it could be hiding behind an embedded link that you are urged to click. Of course, one would say that it is easy to tell, which emails are phishing emails, and no one in their right mind would ever engage with that content. However, you’d be surprised how many users fall for these tricks.

For instance, we know for sure that sometimes Nanocore malspam comes as an EXE file in a ZIP archive. And it might also look like a PDF file sometimes. These files come with embedded JavaScript, and the script exploits the CVE-2017-11882 Microsoft Equation Editor vulnerability. Of course, this vulnerability is quite old, and if you have your software updated, you won’t get infected with the Trojan. However, there are still regions where pirated software is prevalent, and if you utilize pirated software, it is very likely that you do not have all the latest fixes and patches that mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Thus, once Nanocore malspam exploits this vulnerability, it enters the target system, and then performs certain changes in the registry, which allows this Trojan to run on your computer. And as you already know, it might take some time before anyone notices that the system was infected with this malware.

On the other hand, if you know that Nanocore malspam is on your PC, you can use the removal guidelines below to delete the Trojan. If you do not feel confident about employing manual malware removal, you can always terminate the infection automatically. Just get yourself a powerful antispyware tool that will help you get rid of this malware. Also, do not forget to be careful about phishing emails because you cannot know when a similar intruder will barge at your doorstep again. For more questions, please feel free to drop us a comment.
