SimpleHolidayRecipes Toolbar

Users install SimpleHolidayRecipes Toolbar on their computers because it looks quite beneficial software. To be more specific, it promises to enable users to find delicious and healthy recipes, new meal ideas, and meal planners. In other words, it is all about recipes. If you are planning to install it too, there are two things you should know about it in advance. First, it will not show any recipes to you. It will only set a page with several quick-access buttons that will open third-party websites/services. Second, your browsers’ settings will be altered. If that does not bother you at all, you can install SimpleHolidayRecipes Toolbar on your computer, but this is definitely not what our specialists recommend doing. According to them, users who install this piece of software on their computers make a huge mistake, and this is not because their browsers’ settings are changed. They have evidence that this application is a typical potentially unwanted program. It is not malware, but there is a risk that it will act in an undesirable way. The next paragraph will tell you more about this browser plugin.

SimpleHolidayRecipes Toolbar is a new piece of software developed by Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. Since it is one of hundreds of similar toolbars the company has released, our researchers know well how it works. Once installed on the system, it immediately changes browsers’ settings. You should find both your homepage and New Tab page altered, which means that you will no longer see the URL you have consciously set on your web browser. Unfortunately, this potentially unwanted application does not do anything else on users’ computers. The promoted website contains third-party links that open recipes for every occasion, meal planners, and more. Also, it contains buttons that launch popular websites (e.g. Gmail.com, Facebook.com, and Instagram.com). Finally, you will find a search box powered by search.myway.com on that page. If your preferred search tool has been replaced by the page promoted by SimpleHolidayRecipes Toolbar, it might seem like a good idea to use the promoted search tool at first. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm that. We say so because this search provider might provide you with the so-called modified search results, as research has shown. It is not a surprise – it uses the modified Google search engine. We cannot promise that all these modified search results are harmless. It is known that they might even take users to malicious websites. At least be very cautious if you are not going to stop using the search provider SimpleHolidayRecipes Toolbar promotes.

Even though SimpleHolidayRecipes Toolbar can be downloaded from http://www.simpleholidayrecipes.com/index.jhtml, which is its official website, and the Chrome Web Store (only the version for Google Chrome), it seems that it is not always installed on the computer with a user’s blessing. According to specialists, potentially unwanted applications are often spread inside software bundles, and it is very likely that SimpleHolidayRecipes Toolbar is distributed the same. In other words, it is spread together with third-party software. Also, they believe that some users install SimpleHolidayRecipes Toolbar themselves by clicking on advertisements promoting this piece of software. Of course, not all of them are aware of that click. New potentially unwanted applications and a bunch of harmful infections are released by cyber criminals every day, and, sadly, it is not always easy to protect the system against them. Luckily, there is an easier solution to the problem. You do not need to become a malware expert to prevent infections from entering your computer. You just need to install security software on your PC. Use only 100% trustworthy software!

If SimpleHolidayRecipes Toolbar has not met your expectations, you should remove it from your computer right away. This is the only way to undo the changes applied to your web browsers as well.
