Get Daily Bible Verses

Are you tempted to download an extension called Get Daily Bible Verses? If you are, you are doing the right thing by researching it first. If you have downloaded it already, you want to read this report to figure out if you should delete it. Our research team recommends getting rid of the extension, but, of course, you want to make the decision for yourself, considering that this add-on is a potentially unwanted program, not a tremendously malicious threat. If you believe you already have all the information, and your decision is to remove Get Daily Bible Verses, follow the instructions below. If you wish to learn a little bit more about this suspicious piece, you will find useful information in this report. First and foremost, however, we advise that you install a trusted malware scanner to inspect your operating system. According to our research team, the PUP could be installed along with malware and other undesirable applications, and so you want to make sure that nothing more pressing exists before you move on.

Get Daily Bible Verses, or Daily Bible Verses, is identical to another extension discussed by our research team already, My Daily Verse XP. This extension no longer has an official installer, but when it was spread, it was spread bundled with the Search.mydailyversexp.com hijacker. It is identical to Search.searchgdbv.com, which the new variant introduces. It is not surprising at all that these extensions are identical because they were created by Polarity Technologies Ltd., and this company is known for the hundreds of PUPs and hijackers that come bundled with them. A few other examples include Maps Driving Directions, Easy File Converter, Search.searchjsmtmp.com, and Search.searchidd.com. The extension we are discussing in this report is officially introduced to users at getdailybibleverses.com, and it is offered for Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer users. It is important to note that Chrome users cannot download Get Daily Bible Verses at the moment because the installer on the Chrome web store (ID: jnfgcocflfebffemobboimemiiokodna) has been disabled or removed. However, you can still download the PUP for Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Firefox and Internet Explorer users often identify Get Daily Bible Verses as a browser hijacker because once installed, Search.searchgdbv.com changes the homepage and default search provider. This appears to be done without any warning, and that, of course, can catch anyone off guard. Is that a reason to delete Get Daily Bible Verses from your operating system? It sure is, but it is not the only one. Search.searchgdbv.com is not a reliable search tool either. It redirects to Yahoo Search and it shows modified search results. Most likely, it shows sponsored links that are paid for. This means that Get Daily Bible Verses can be viewed as an advertising tool too. To top it off, the PUP can track your virtual activity, and it can even leak some information to other parties. Who are they? We don’t know, and the Privacy Policy does not reveal it. At the end of the day, the activity of this extension/hijacker is truly suspicious, and it is no wonder most decide to remove it despite the fact that it offers easy-access links to legitimate websites, including Bible-related websites blueletterbible.org, biblegateway.com, bible.com, and americanbible.org.

Uninstall Get Daily Bible Verses from your operating system to remove it from Internet Explorer, and erase the extensions on Firefox and Chrome browsers. If you can do this, you can get rid of the PUP yourself. Hopefully, you have scanned your operating system by now, and you know if you need to delete other threats. If you do, you should seriously consider employing an anti-malware program. It will automatically find and remove Get Daily Bible Verses along with all other potentially unwanted programs or more serious threats. Even if other threats are not discovered, you want to install the program to keep your operating system safe in the future. Keep in mind that much more dangerous threats exist, including ransomware, Trojans, and keyloggers, and they can cause some serious damage if your system is unable to protect itself against them.
