Godra Ransomware

It is hard not to notice the entrance of Godra Ransomware because this infection is a nasty malicious application that belongs to the crypto-malware family and, because of this, does not hesitate to lock files on victims’ computers after infiltrating their computers. It does not differ much from those older threats analyzed by our researchers some time ago – it has been programmed and released so that cyber criminals could obtain money from users easier too. Do not transfer money to them even if you have already discovered a bunch of files encrypted by Godra Ransomware on your computer because this will not necessarily help you to unlock your files. To put it differently, the promised decryption tool might not reach you even if you send the required money, so you should not spend money on the tool you might not get. You are the one who can make decisions here, but, please, make sure the ransomware infection does not stay active on your system no matter what you decide. It should not be hard to erase it from the system because this threat is far from sophisticated malware that makes certain modifications on compromised machines in order to make it more difficult to remove it. Of course, if you have never erased any malicious application before, you should remove Godra Ransomware only after you read what we have to say about it.

Godra Ransomware is not considered sophisticated malware; however, if it ever finds a way to enter your system, it will definitely cause problems to you because it goes to lock all files it finds on compromised machines without mercy. It should be emphasized that it targets Croatian-speaking users primarily, so if you live in Croatia or somewhere around, you should not leave your computer unprotected. The first sign showing that Godra Ransomware has already entered the system is the appearance of the .gorda extension at the end of every file that can no longer be opened. On top of that, you should be able to locate a new file KAKO OTKLJUČATI VAŠE DATOTEKE.log on your computer once this ransomware infection enters your system and locks personal files. This ransom note will tell you that you need to pay money to be able to unlock your data. Specifically, it demands 2000 EUR from victims in BTC (Bitcoin). We know that you want to get your files back, but we cannot let you send money to malicious software developers because they might not even have the decryption tool. In such a case, you will not get it too, and, on top of that, they will not send your money back to you. We hope that you decide not to pay a ransom; however, if it happens that you are going to pay money to crooks, you need to know that the ransomware infection will not be automatically removed from your computer. That is, you will still need to erase Godra Ransomware yourself either manually or automatically.

Ransomware infections are such threats that usually infiltrate users’ PCs without their knowledge, but, in some cases, they allow them to enter their computers without even realizing that. For example, you could have helped Godra Ransomware to enter your system by clicking on some kind of malicious link. Also, it could have started working on your system after you had opened a malicious email attachment. You must remove the ransomware infection from your system no matter how it has slithered onto your computer to make sure it cannot start working again and does not become a threat to new data. The next paragraph will tell you what you have to do to disable it.

Godra Ransomware is a harmful threat, but we do not consider it sophisticated malware because it does not make any modifications on affected computers. As a consequence, it is quite an easy job to disable it. Actually, there is only one thing you need to do to make it gone – delete the malicious file launched. It should be located on Desktop, in the Downloads folder, or in Temp; however, if you cannot find it anywhere yourself, let an automated antimalware tool help you. It will not unlock files for you, but it will clean your system in no time.
