30Tab Safe Navigation

Perhaps you would not want to have something like 30Tab Safe Navigation as your default homepage, but do not be surprised to find it on your browser because it is the newest browser hijacker on the block. You probably know that browser hijackers are not extremely dangerous computer infections, but they should not be taken lightly. Unless you remove 30Tab Safe Navigation from your system, this program could end up exposing you to a number of security threats that will be really hard to terminate. Therefore, make sure you get rid of all the unwanted applications today, to protect your system tomorrow.

Normally, browser hijackers come forward offering some sort of function that should enhance your web browsing experience. 30Tab Safe Navigation is exactly the same: It says that it has thirty useful tabs that can make your web browsing safer. The question is whether you really need all those shortcuts that the browser hijacker offers. After all, you can easily add your own links to your browser’s shortcut bar, and the effect would be virtually the same. So it is rather doubtful whether you need a third party application like 30Tab Safe Navigation to improve your online experience.

Therefore, despite the supposedly useful service, browser hijackers stand out as annoying software that can be easily exploited by cyber criminals. Although 30Tab Safe Navigation does not intend to infect you with malware, it COULD be used for malware distribution by malevolent third parties. If you take a look at the program’s website via 30tab.com, you will see that the so-called tabs are just one of the few “features” it has. The web page also displays commercial advertisements, and it is more than obvious that 30Tab Safe Navigation does not review the content of those ads, thus leaving a security loophole.

These ads could be embedded with corrupted content by third party advertising networks. What’s more, you could also find the content relatable or attractive, thus increasing the possibility that you might click them. Is 30Tab Safe Navigation okay with your clicking those ads? Of course it is. Your clicks help the program make money via the pay-per-click system. So while the browser hijacker does not intend to infect you with anything, it still does not stop you from wandering into the dark spaces of the internet either. In other words, when a browser hijacker enters your system, it is up to you to protect yourself and your personal information from malicious exploitation.

How, then, does 30Tab Safe Navigation manage to slither into your system? It goes without saying that 30Tab Safe Navigation does not have a direct distribution source. It would be very unlikely that anyone would want to add this program to their browser anyway. Therefore, our security experts suggest that users download and install this program accidentally, together with freeware apps. Freeware apps can be downloaded from file-sharing websites, and users seldom realize the potential security threats that lie behind such practice. Of course, there is nothing wrong with downloading programs from such pages, but you still need to remain vigilant.

When you download a new program from a third-party source, you should see to it that you read all the steps in the installation wizard. Of course, most of them are just your usual formality that state all terms and conditions, but third-party installers tend to inform you about additional apps like 30Tab Safe Navigation that may come together with the main program. So if you breeze through the installation, you will miss your chance to deselect the browser hijacker. As a result, it is bound to modify your browser’s settings, especially as the program is compatible with Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. So the hijacker is very likely to affect you no matter which browser you use.

Luckily, it is not that hard to remove 30Tab Safe Navigation from your system. You just need to reset your browser’s setting to default and then check for any modifications in the Target line.
