Your mini Truetest

Your mini Truetest is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that can also be identified as an advertising-supported program (adware). If you install it onto your browser – at this time, it appears to be compatible with Google Chrome only – it will start showing you suspicious advertisements, and clicking on them can be dangerous. The most peculiar thing about this threat is that it is not supported by any official information. You will not find a Privacy Policy, a License Agreement, or an EULA statement. Furthermore, there is no information representing the creator of this PUP/adware. The only piece of information is that the extension is offered by “serebryakov.leha90,” and that, of course, tells us nothing. Overall, there is too little information about this strange piece of software, and that is what makes it unpredictable and unreliable. Without a doubt, our recommendation is to remove Your mini Truetest, and if you want to learn more about this process, this article will give you some important information.

An official page that would represent Your mini Truetest does not exist; however, its installer is available at chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/your-mini-truetest/icepgilpdfnecncejolijhnognpbgcgd. This is where the name of the creator (“serebryakov.leha90”) is revealed, along with a user count, which, at the time of research, was over 3,100. That is a shockingly high number because the extension does not offer services that are that attractive. According to the information – which, by the way, is represented in Russian – the add-on opens a mini-version of the site when you click on the extension icon that is attached to the browser. How does that look? When browsing the web, you can click the icon, and a list of ad-related sites will be shown to you. Is this useful? Of course, it is not, and, in fact, interacting with the ads shown by this potentially unwanted program could be risky. Advertisements can also be shown randomly as you surf the web, for example, in the bottom-right corner of the page. Refrain from clicking those as well.

Since Your mini Truetest does not appear to be a useful program, it is unlikely that users choose to install it themselves. That means that it could slither in uninvited. Have you found this PUP installed without your permission? If that is the case, what other programs might be running without your permission as well? Install a legitimate malware scanner, and you will find that out soon. Hopefully, malware does not exist, and you can focus on deleting Your mini Truetest. If you do not get rid of this potentially unwanted program, you might be at risk of data theft. Since there is no official information, how can you know that this PUP is not collecting private information and then sending it to unknown parties? On top of all that, getting bombarded with random ads is annoying, and since they might act as security backdoors, we are sure you do not want to face them every time you try to browse the web. In case you already have interacted with suspicious ads, think if you might have gotten yourself into trouble (e.g., if you downloaded unfamiliar software or disclosed personal data).

Although Your mini Truetest is a very suspicious and mysterious threat, its removal is not. As long as you can identify the extension and click the right button, you should be able to erase it manually. To make the process easier, we have added the instructions below. They also show how to erase cookies, which is what we strongly recommend doing. If you decide to delete Your mini Truetest manually, you probably want to eliminate the reaming threats in the same manner. Hopefully, you can find the guides you need on our website, but if you cannot, our research team is always ready to help. Just add a comment below. If multiple threats are found, you should do a quick research to get a general idea of whether or not you will be able to get rid of all of them yourself. If at least one threat is too serious or complicated, you probably will install an anti-malware tool, and if that is what you do, you can leave every malicious program and PUP alone as all threats will be erased automatically.
