Diranalyze Disk

Diranalyze Disk is promoted as a beneficial application, but we cannot confirm that it is a program that can be trusted fully. Since it is not one of those decent programs, we do not recommend keeping it installed on the system too. Specifically speaking, Diranalyze Disk is a potentially unwanted application. These are applications users usually consider undesirable due to activities they perform on their PCs. The program specialists at pcthreat.com have thoroughly analyzed might act in an undesirable way on users’ computers too. Additionally, users usually find it installed on their computers without their consent, which is definitely not a feature of a trustworthy program. Because there are more drawbacks than benefits associated with it, we recommend deleting this application from the system today. Erase it without mercy even if you have found it quite useful – we are sure you will find a decent application to replace it with.

Diranalyze Disk is advertised as a PC optimization tool that can scan drives and find duplicate files. In other words, it should help users to get rid of clutter easily. Diranalyze Disk also performs a system scan and provides information about the size of all folders on the system, so it is not very surprising that some users find this application quite useful. No matter you have found it useful or completely useless, go to remove this application from your PC without consideration because it might become a threat to your privacy, as research conducted by malware researchers has shown. When Diranalyze Disk is installed on the system, it creates three the so-called scheduled tasks allowing it to perform certain activities automatically. The activity that concerns us the most is the collection of information. It has been found that it sends certain information to some kind of domain located in Russia. It is not easy to say what information it sends to this page because the data sent is encrypted and we cannot look into it closer. It is, of course, a very suspicious activity. This might even indicate that it gathers data about users. If it is true, it is only a question of time when serious problems linked to the user’s online privacy arises. Diranalyze Disk, of course, needs the Internet connection to transmit the information from a user’s PCs to this Russian domain, so do not be surprised if you notice that your Internet connection is unstable and its speed has considerably decreased after installing Diranalyze Disk on the system. The information collection is one of the biggest drawbacks this program has and one of the main reasons it has been classified as a potentially unwanted program.

Our malware analysts could not find an official website Diranalyze Disk, and the URL available on the program window opens a website Scanfolder.space that promotes a different product, so, unsurprisingly, it is impossible to download it from this website. This suggests that this potentially unwanted application usually enters computers without permission. According to researchers, it is very likely that it travels in bundles with third-party applications. Of course, other distribution tactics might be adopted too. Additionally, it is very likely that it is available for download at some kind of file-sharing website as well, so we are sure there are users out there who have downloaded and installed it willingly. There is no doubt that this application is installed on your computer if you can find three new tasks (%WINDIR%\Tasks\DirAnalyzer, %WINDIR%\System32\Tasks\SDisk Finder, and %WINDIR%\Tasks\Test Task.job), three new folders (%PUBLIC%\DiskCleaner, %PROGRAMFILES%\SDisk Finder, and %PROGRAMFILES(x86)%\SDisk Finder), and several new registry keys created on your system. If this potentially unwanted program has successfully entered your system, it will not be a big problem for other untrustworthy applications to enter your PC unnoticed too if you do not do anything to ensure your system’s safety.

Potentially unwanted applications can usually be erased through Control Panel, but, unfortunately, Diranalyze Disk is not one of them. You will have to delete its registry keys, folders, and tasks yourself if you decide to adopt the manual method to get rid of it. You can, of course, always go to erase it automatically if you find that the manual deletion of undesirable software is not for you.
