  1. Tap Win+R to open the Registry Editor.
  2. Enter regedit.exe in the box and click OK.
  3. Open HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main.
  4. Locate the Start Page Value.
  5. Right-click on it and select Modify.
  6. Delete from the Value data field, enter a new URL, and click OK.
  7. Close the window.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Tap Win+E to open the Windows Explorer.
  2. Type %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles in the URL bar and tap Enter to open this directory.
  3. Search for a folder containing the file prefs.js (the name of this folder will consist of random symbols).
  4. Open the prefs.js file with Notepad (right-click on the file, select Open with, and select Notepad).
  5. Delete the following line: user_pref("browser.startup.homepage", ""); .
  6. Save the changes.

Google Chrome

  1. Open the Windows Explorer (tap Win+E).
  2. Open %LocalAppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default (type it in the URL bar and tap Enter).
  3. Locate three files and remove them one after the other: Preferences, Web Data, and Secure Preferences.
  4. Empty the Trash bin.
