CryMore Ransomware

CryMore Ransomware is an obnoxious piece of malware that was created to make you believe that your files are encrypted. Based on the findings that our research team has, this infection cannot encrypt files’ at least, not in its current state. Sure, it is possible that this threat could become more aggressive, and it could start encrypting your files, but that is not the case right now. If anything changes, we will definitely update this report. Now, the main question is whether this threat is still being developed or if it is just another fictitious ransomware? Both options are possible, and, of course, we hope it is the latter one because we do not want another aggressive, file-encrypting ransomware on the loose. Overall, whether or not it encrypts files, you must remove CryMore Ransomware from your operating system, and that is what we talk about in this report.

We must discuss the entrance of CryMore Ransomware first because we want you to patch the security vulnerability that could be used to infiltrate other infections in the future. So, do you know how this threat got in? Maybe you opened a spam email attachment that was corrupted? If that is the case, let this be a lesson that opening spam emails and unfamiliar attachments or links can be dangerous. Of course, other methods could have been employed to drop the infection onto your computer. Whatever the case is, make sure you patch the vulnerability. It is most important that you install legitimate security software that is up-to-date and can prevent malware from slithering in. You have to note that CryMore Ransomware is not the most dangerous infection you can face, and if you do not want to have your files encrypted, or you do not want to waste your time trying to figure out how to delete malicious threats, you must set up full-time protection.

The malicious CryMore Ransomware is similar to CVLocker Ransomware and Blooper Ransomware, both of which pose as real ransomware infections and which push users to pay ransoms. The threat we are discussing in this report utilizes a notification to introduce you to the ransom. According to this notification, you have 2 days to get a password that, allegedly, can help you decrypt your files. The problem is that the sum of the ransom is not revealed, and there is no information on how it should be paid. This is what leads us to believe that this infection might be in development. Of course, there is always a possibility that it was created by some amateur who did not know what they were doing. If CryMore Ransomware was created as a scam, it definitely fails because even if the victim wanted to pay the ransom, it could not be done.

At the time of research, CryMore Ransomware could not lock the screen, but even if it does, you should not rush to kill the malicious process because that could help you reveal the location of the malicious executable file. Otherwise, you can tap Alt+F4 keys to close the window. Needless to say, it is crucial that you eliminate the launcher because you do not want any file that is linked to cyber criminals to remain active on your PC. What if this file can receive commands and even receive the encryption key? Although it is unlikely that this ransomware will ever be capable of encrypting data, you do not want malware hanging around. That is the main reason you also need to scan your operating system using a legitimate malware scanner once you remove the ransomware. If other infections exist, a legitimate malware scanner can help you identify them.

You have to make the decision whether you will delete CryMore Ransomware manually or you will employ a tool to have it eliminated automatically. The first option is more suitable for those who have experience eliminating malicious threats and those who do not find other infections. If you are not experienced and if other infections were found, installing anti-malware software is the best way to go. Do not hesitate to start a conversation below and ask questions because we are here to help you get your operating system cleaned and ready for safe using.
