Therefore, you need to go to erase it from your web browsers as soon as possible. Do not trust websites which change browsers’ settings without permission because they are not trustworthy search engines, for sure. There are two words describing such an URL – a browser hijacker. Since it is already clear that is a browser hijacker, go to erase it from your PC as soon as possible. As mentioned above, belongs to the ELEX family of browser hijackers. Consequently, it shares similarities with such search tools as,, and That is, it does not hesitate to change browsers’ installed on affected PCs settings. You should only find it set as your homepage; however, some users say that they have found an altered default search tool too, so, evidently, it might appear as a default search engine on your Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox browsers as well. Because of this, it will be loaded when you launch your web browser. Since it looks like a legitimate search provider and returns Google search results, only a small number of users understand that they have encountered a browser hijacker infection. If you see a new search tool when you open your browser too, it means that you have become a victim of this computer infection as well. Remove it from your browsers and set a new legitimate search provider as soon as possible because its presence might result in a bunch of problems. For example, due to the presence of the modified search results, it will take longer to find the relevant information on the web. In addition, these modified search results might redirect users to untrustworthy third-party pages. What is more, specialists have found one disturbing sentence in the Privacy Policy document of It has become clear that this search tool automatically collects information about users too. Non-personally identifiable information it records consists of IP address, Internet Service Provider, browsing history, etc. Unfortunately, it has turned out that it gathers personal details too, which makes it an untrustworthy search tool. This activity might cause problems as well – online privacy issues might arise soon.

This browser hijacker does not differ from similar infections in a sense that it usually illegally enters computers. It has been found that it is mainly spread via malicious software bundles. That is, it travels in tiny packages with other applications belonging to third parties, usually freeware. The majority of users who find a new search tool set on their browsers frequently download free software from P2P and torrent pages. In addition, they quickly skip installation steps to install new software on their systems quicker. Because of this, they allow undesirable software to enter their PCs as well and do not even know about that. Browser hijackers are sneaky threats, so it is not easy to prevent them from entering systems. Of course, “easy” does not mean that it is impossible to do that. We are sure that an automatic tool could easily prevent a new browser hijacker from showing up on your computer if it is enabled.
