CinematicFanatic Toolbar

Does CinematicFanatic Toolbar look like your next best friend? Perhaps this application does not try to infect you with malware or anything like that, but it does not mean you should keep it. The problem with this application is that it is classified as a potentially unwanted program. It means that the toolbar may have certain features that could prove to be detrimental to your system’s security. Please remove CinematicFanatic Toolbar from your computer to make sure that you do not get exposed to corrupted content. You should also look for other unwanted applications that could have entered your PC when you were not looking.

The reason we are talking about other unwanted applications here is the fact that potentially unwanted programs, adware, browser hijackers, and others similar software applications are often distributed in software packages. It means that when you download one application from a file-sharing website, there is a chance (and a rather big one) that this application comes bundled with many other apps. Most of those apps are unnecessary and sometimes even harmful. For the most part, third-party applications are harmful because they do not review the content they promote. Consequently, if users interact with that content and it proves to be dangerous, people could easily get infected with malware.

Of course, the program in question can also be downloaded from its official homepage. After all, it is not a malicious infection, so it does not hide its presence. You can find out more about this browser extension via cinematicfanatic.com. When we open the website, it looks like a user-friendly page that offers some nifty tool. The page says that with this toolbar you can “watch online movies via popular services all in one new tab.” This suggests that CinematicFanatic Toolbar connects several streaming services into one.

Please note that at the bottom of the Click to Install! button, there is a line in small letters that says “By checking the box and clicking the button, you agree to install the Homepage & New Tab and agree to the EULA and Privacy Policy.” This means that when you add this toolbar to your browser, it will also change your homepage and new tab settings. At first, it might seem that CinematicFanatic Toolbar is somewhat like a browser hijacker because it modifies your browser’s settings unexpectedly. But, from the official homepage, we can see that users agree to these changes even if they do not bother to read the line below the Install button.

That is very common among such applications. The thing is that there are a lot of users out there who are not attentive enough, and they get tricked into installing applications that do a lot more than it is advertised. Some time ago, we used to categorize such programs like CinematicFanatic Toolbar as browser hijackers because of their browser settings modifications, but the truth is that browser hijackers change your settings behind your back, while this program does it out in the open. It even informs you about it, and in the end, it is user’s fault if they fail to see the notification.

Now, what might happen if you keep CinematicFanatic Toolbar on your computer? In the short run, nothing much. You would see immediately that the application is not as useful as it claims because it simply redirects you to online streaming websites, instead of providing some actual service. However, in the long run, the application could end up displaying a lot of annoying commercial advertisements that might expose you unfamiliar and even dangerous websites. That is not the toolbar’s fault, but it is too vulnerable to third-party exploitations for cyber criminals to miss such a chance. Therefore, it is necessary to remove CinematicFanatic Toolbar before it manages to inadvertently expose you to malware-related websites.

The toolbar affects all the main browsers somewhat differently, so the manual removal is different, too. You can check out the manual removal instructions to see how to delete the toolbar from your browser. On the other hand, if you find it too complicated, you can always terminate CinematicFanatic Toolbar with a reliable antispyware tool. This way you would also be able to protect your computer from similar apps that might try to enter it in the near future.
