Trojan.SlayerRAT

If you find Trojan.SlayerRAT on your computer, you might think at first sight that it is an innocent program. However, our research suggests otherwise. There is a reason why we named this application a Trojan program. As you may know there are all kinds of nasty things Trojans can do to your computer and to your files, including opening and leaving so-called backdoors. This malware infection tends to do this as well, in other words, it provides a backdoor for cyber criminals to exploit it and access your computer and your stored data as well. This should sound rather frightening and should make you want to remove Trojan.SlayerRAT right away. You should not hesitate because who knows how long this Trojan has been running amok on your system and how much damage it has already caused to your machine. If you want to know how you can defend your computer from similar dangerous threats, please continue reading.

Although this software actually has a promotional page, we could not call it an official website, since it is indeed a blog you can find at slayerrat.blogspot.lt. This is a rather suspicious site because there is no working content really. All you get to know about this suspicious application is that it claims to be "Remote Administration Tools coded by X-Slayer." There is a big "Coming Soon" button, which leads you to another page ("buildbrandyou.in/files/2015/03/coming-soon.gif") where you simply see a red curtain with a "Coming Soon" label. There are four menu items in the top-right corner: Home, 404 Page, Archive, and Blog. If you click on the "404 Page" link, you find yourself on a page that says "404 ERRR!" and with some more broken English it informs you that "It's Looking like you may have been a wrong turn." So why bother to have such a menu item, right? It is similarly useless to click on any one of the other menu items either because you just land on this page: "nayanmeckwan.blogspot.lt/2015/10/best-free-blogger-template-2015.html." Practically, there is little chance that you would even find this blog or any other sites where you could download this useless and harmful program, but this is a clear sign that you should remove Trojan.SlayerRAT if you notice it on board.

As a matter of fact, we have found that this Trojan is mostly spread in spam e-mails. This means that for you to be infected with this dangerous malware, you had to open a spam mail, download its attachment, and run it. This is the usual process to get infected by Trojans as well as ransomware programs. This is why we always emphasize the importance of knowing how these infections are distributed because that is the only way you can manually prevent such a dangerous attack from entering your computer. It is really important to be more cautious with opening your e-mails because such a spam can be very misleading and convincing as well. Otherwise, it could not really spread and infect unsuspecting computer users. You need to realize that once you run the downloaded file, which could be a fake image, video, or text document, you initiate the attack. You could be in the luck if you delete Trojan.SlayerRAT right after it manages to sneak onto your system. But it is important for you to understand that the longer you leave it on board, the more chance it has to harm you and your computer. As a matter of fact, our research indicates that this Trojan program may be able to spread to other computers as well since it can transfer itself to portable drives, such as Pendrives and external HDDs.

This suspicious software claims to be a remote administrative tool similarly to TeamViewer. However, instead of providing legitimate access for administrators to other computers, it actually serves as a backdoor for cyber criminals to get illegal access to victims' files and data. Using this tool, hackers could modify your Windows Registry database, delete files, spy on you, gather information about you, change your networking settings, and so on. Do you think you are safe for a second, if such a malicious program is on board? We believe that you should not hesitate one moment when you find this danger source on your computer. We suggest that you delete Trojan.SlayerRAT immediately.

Since this Trojan program uses one single executable file to operate through, "stub.exe," all you need to do is locate this file and delete it for good. Please use our instructions below if you need help with this. As you can see from our report, it is very easy to let such a dangerous threat onto your machine and you may not always be able to stop it in time. Therefore, if you do not want to become paranoid while trying to protect your virtual world manually, we recommend that you start using a reliable anti-malware program that can automatically defend your operating system from all known malicious attacks.
