Gamevance Ads

Gamevance Ads installer on the official site might be bundled with untrustworthy software, e.g. potentially unwanted programs, adware, browser hijackers, and so on. If you have not noticed any suggestion on the setup wizard, you may have installed more annoying applications without even realizing it. Gamevance Ads is an irritating program itself because it may show you commercial ads and pop-ups. Accordingly, our researchers categorized it as adware. Usually, users see advertising as annoying and also harmless. Not all ads promote suspicious content, but when they come from many different sites, some of them might be dangerous. We advise you to read the article and learn more about this adware. If you decide that you do not want it on your system, you can delete it with the removal instructions placed at the bottom of this page.

Gamevance Installer states that by installing the software you “agree to receive Advertisements through the Gamevance Software in the form of text links, banners and pop up/under ads.” This means that when you search the Internet, you will receive advertisements in various forms. The adware works on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer, so if you have any of the listed browsers as your default, you should see such content while using it. Also, if you click third-party advertisements you should be redirected to their original web pages, and you may want to avoid it.

Unfortunately, third-party sites should have different Privacy Policy and End User License Agreement statements, or they might not have them at all. Thus, some third-party sites might be unsafe for your computer, or they could violate your privacy. For instance, you may be redirected to a web page that was developed to spread malware, e.g. Trojans, ransomware, viruses, and so on. Another possibility is that some websites could try to collect your sensitive or private information, such as email address, telephone number, passwords, etc. We cannot be one hundred percent sure that this could happen to you, but we do not think that you would want to take any chances with the software. Especially, when the program is nothing more than an annoying adware application.

In the beginning, we said that the programs’s installer could be bundled with doubtful applications. What we have in mind is the installer from Gamevance Ads official web page (gamevance.com). As we were testing the adware, we noticed that the installer might be bundled with Ask toolbar, Weather Channel Desktop, and other untrustworthy software. These bundled applications are visible only on the setup wizard. In fact, you can choose yourself whether you want to accept or reject them. Still some users manage to overlook it when they try to rush the installation process, e.g. agree to everything without reading the terms. If you do not want this to happen again, you should get rid of this habit.

It might sound confusing, but the adware might be bundled with unrelated software as well. Most likely, the program could be bundled with applications that are distributed through torrent or other doubtful file-sharing web pages. Again, users might rush the installation and overlook the adware, or they agree to its installation themselves. In any case, there is a chance that you have other suspicious programs besides Gamevance Ads. That is why it would be better to check your system and see what else was recently installed. You could check it via Control Panel, or you could scan your PC with a trustworthy antimalware tool. If there are any threats, the security tool will locate and delete them.

If you decide to get rid of the adware, you can also delete it with an antimalware tool of your choice. Another way to eliminate the application is to launch Control Panel, locate Gamevance Ads and uninstall it. If you are not familiar with Control Panel, you can learn how to delete the program with it by following the instructions available below the text.
