Bingoweb.ga

Although Bingoweb.ga takes the results from google.com, this application cannot be trusted because it displays third-party ads and pop-ups. We advise you to avoid these ads when possible because they may redirect you to third-party websites. The main problem is that you could enter unreliable sites that might try to collect your private information. It could be rather troublesome if you would have to check all the websites this search engine redirects you to just to make sure they are safe to visit. Probably, it would be easier and more secure to use a more trustworthy search engine and remove this one from your system. This task would be much simpler if you would look at the removal instructions provided at the end of the article.

As we reviewed Bingoweb.ga’s Privacy Policy document we learned that most of the displayed results are hosted by google.com, and when you look for something via this application, it redirects you to the Google website or shows results from its engine. Since google.com is a well-known and trusted tool, users might think that there is no difference which website you use. Except that when you enter Bingoweb.ga, you could be greeted with annoying pop-ups, full page, and other kinds of ads. According to our researchers who tested this application in our internal lab, such ads might come from questionable web pages. There are two main risks you take when entering doubtful websites. You could reveal your sensitive data or get your computer infected if the site would display malicious content.

Furthermore, we found another piece of information in the Privacy Policy that you should be aware of. It says that “When you use BingoWeb, our servers, and third party servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. These servers' logs may include information such as the URL you visited, IP address, browser type and language, country, and the date and time of your request.” Such information could be gathered every time you enter a third party website or Bingoweb.ga. To collect such data they use “technology such as cookies and web beacons <…>” Also, the website’s creators claim that this information is used only for statistics and to improve the site. However, we doubt that it will be improved because Bingoweb.ga has a few previously developed clones, which are quite identical, so if you consider the above mentioned information private and do not want to reveal it, you should get rid of this search engine.

Bingoweb.ga is a clone of uppersearch.tk, bettersearch.tk, and other numerous identical search engines. These applications modify your homepage, search engine, and new tab page settings without permission and because of such activity, they are classified as browser hijackers. This particular hijacker is tightly related to Globasearch.com, as you may have noticed that Bingoweb.ga appeared on your computer after you visited that website. It seems that the browser hijacker might be installed without user’s consent. It might have happened if you visited any suspicious websites, e.g. various file sharing sites. Such pages could promote software and bundle it with unwanted or potentially harmful applications too. As a result, you install more programs instead of one.

Now that you know all the risks that come together with this browser hijacker, you can decide whether you want to use another search engine instead of this one. Keep it in mind that the only way to set a new homepage, search engine or new tab page is to eliminate this browser hijacker. Luckily, by removing it you will also get rid of the annoying ads. Software like this is different from other applications, e.g. adware or potentially unwanted programs. In order to remove it, you would need to reset the affected browsers. It is not a hard task, and we will provide the instructions that will help you find these settings in the Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox browsers.
