Wscanner

Wscanner advertises itself on its official website wscanner.com as “the health doctor for your PC.” In other words, it is a typical PC optimizer and cleaner. Even though it says that it will optimize the PC’s performance and fix all the issues, only some users notice that something has changed after the system scan. Besides, Wscanner only offers a free trial, which means that users will have to upgrade it in order to use all the functions. As this program is known to be a potentially unwanted application, we do not recommend investing money in this software. It is especially risky to do that if you cannot explain how this PUP has slithered onto the computer and you suspect that it has done that without permission. The entire removal process will be thoroughly explained further in this article, so all you need to do is to read it and then apply the knowledge you get.

Specialists working at pcthreat.com say that Wscanner is probably developed by JS Web Production because all its files contain a signature “JS Web Production.” At first sight, the program seems to be fully reliable, and it really performs the system scan after it manages to slither onto the computer. Unfortunately, this PC optimization tool mainly detects temporary files and empty registry entries, so it might show hundreds of errors that need to be fixed. In case a user decides to fix all those issues, they are informed that they have to buy the license first because only a trial version can be downloaded from wscanner.com. We do not say that you cannot do that; however, you should know that it is unclear whether this application is really going to act in a beneficial way after the upgrade. Users should also know that this potentially unwanted program is going to collect information about them. The information it gathers includes details about the computer and browser and the so-called site usage information. In addition, it will record your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter.

It has been observed that this potentially unwanted program will also add a Wscanner Updater task, which means that it will update automatically at particular times. Theoretically, there is a possibility that the program will start acting somehow differently in the future, so you have to be cautious. Furthermore, it has been revealed that this program makes modifications in order to be able to start together with Windows OS, which means that this application might still work in the background even though you click X and close it. The only way to stop all the activities of this program is to delete it from the system. If you delete Wscanner, you will not see its registry keys, folders, and other files anymore too.

Wscanner can be downloaded from wscanner.com, which is its official website; however, it has been observed that users usually cannot explain how this program has slithered onto their computers because it enters systems in software bundles mainly. Potentially unwanted programs usually travel together with adware, browser hijackers, and other potentially unwanted programs, which means that your system might contain these threats too. To find out whether or not it is true, scan your system with a diagnostic tool. Such a tool can be downloaded from our website – you just need to click on the Download button you will find below this article. If you upgrade that tool, it will protect your computer 24/7 and will block the entrance for other untrustworthy programs in the future.

Wscanner has an uninstall entry in Control Panel, and it might seem that it is possible to erase it easily; however, it is not exactly true. It has been observed that this program will leave its main folder with files. In addition, it seems that that it will even leave all the main files and start with Windows anyway if a user does not close it before implementing the removal of this potentially unwanted program. If you do not want to remove these leftovers yourself, scan your system with SpyHunter. It will fully remove Wscanner for you.
