Secure-surf.com

Secure-surf.com is an old browser hijacker that was targeted at Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer users living in France. According to our research, this browser hijacker could be identified on some computers as secury-surf.com. Regardless of the URL, the interface of this hijacker is the same, and most users do not find it any different than regular search tools. In fact, the interface of this search tool is its strength because, even if users recognize that the hijacker has attacked browsers illegally, they think that this search tool is harmless. If that were the case, we would not suggest removing Secure-surf.com.

Most users are quick to realize that they should delete Secure-surf.com because they know that only unreliable programs can slither in illegally. Of course, it is possible that you will give this hijacker the permission to access your operating system by accident, in which case, Secure-surf.com is no longer a hijacker, but an unreliable search tool. Regardless of how this threat attacks, you MUST inspect your operating system to make sure that other threats were not installed along with it. If you find that third-party malware was installed, remove it as soon as you possibly can.

If you are not convinced that you should remove Secure-surf.com for corrupting your browsers without your permission, you might decide to get rid of this hijacker after encountering sponsored links instead of authentic search results. Even though ads and sponsored links might be relatively harmless, they could be extremely malicious as well. For example, you could be introduced to misleading installers hiding malware that is camouflaged as authentic software. Unfortunately, if you do not ignore ads associated with Secure-surf.com, it is possible that you will need to delete other unreliable programs as well.

According to our researchers, Secure-surf.com was created using the same template that was used to develop the Binkiland.com hijacker. It is also possible that this hijacker is associated with Qone8.com, Qvo6, and similar browser hijackers that are capable of modifying browser Targets. As you probably understand, all of these infections require immediate removal, and, if Secure-surf.com happens to be similar to these programs, there is no doubt that you should delete it as well. If you need more arguments or you want to ask us questions about Secure-surf.com, please leave a comment below. If you have already decided to remove this search tool, follow our tips.

It is unlikely that you will delete Secure-surf.com by replacing the undesirable home page and search provider settings, which you can do by following the guide below. It is more likely that you will also need to delete leftover files. If you are not experienced, this task might seem extremely complicated, and we cannot say that it is not.
