2345.com

2345.com is not the kind of browser you would want to have. It is based on the Chromium open-source project, which is also the basis for Google Chrome. The browser is in the Chinese language so it will not be useful for people who do not understand it. 2345.com is regarded as a potentially unwanted application. It is not malicious in itself, and it does not any threat you your computer's security. However, the websites that it promotes can be unreliable, because they feature advertisements. Therefore, we recommend that you remove this browser and get yourself a more reliable one, such as Chrome.

As mentioned, 2345.com is based on Google’s Chromium platform. But before we go any further, you should be aware of other browsers based on Chromium that have been classified as potentially unwanted. We do not recommend using such browsers as Internet Quick Access, Chromatic Browser, 1stBrowser, and Fast Browser, as they are unreliable. Due to the fact that the browser is in the Chinese language, we were unable to find its developer. Or researchers think that this application may be distributed using software bundles. However, it is unlikely that bundles featuring this browser can be found on neither English language websites nor any other language website for the predominant European and American audience. So you should be careful when downloading something from Chinese freeware distributors.

When testing the acquired sample, we thought that it did not work, because after clicking the standalone installer nothing happened. However, after checking the test computer approximately 10 minutes later we found that 2345.com has been installed. It appears that the main purpose of the browser is to promote several websites. The first one is 2345.com, which is the browser’s homepage. The browser features bookmarks of sister websites, such as Dianying.2345.com, which appears to host pirated movies. Another one is Wan.2345.com that appears to feature computer games. And the last one is Ju.taobao.com, which is an online shopping website. Some of the websites contain commercial advertisements, so we definitely do not recommend clicking them. There is no telling what kind of exotic malware will enter your computer if you do so why take the risk. In any case, the browser in not useful for those who do not speak Chinese, so you should remove it if you got it unintentionally.

So that is all we can tell about this browser. Clearly, European and American Internet surfers have no need for such a browser. It seems that 2345.com has been developed to promote 2345.com associated websites that feature ads. It is possible for your computer to become infected with malicious software if you click any of the ads. So if you do not want to have this browser you can remove it via the Control Panel, using the instructions below. However, once you launch the uninstaller it will be in the Chinese language so always click the white button on the left, not the blue on the right.
