DailyLocalGuide Toolbar

DailyLocalGuide Toolbar is one of those tools that are supposed to be useful, but in the end users find that they cause more damage than do any good. Thus, you should see to it that DailyLocalGuide Toolbar gets removed from your computer as soon as possible. It is not complicated to delete DailyLocalGuide Toolbar manually, but such applications always leave some leftovers that need to be taken care of as well. Hence, to ensure that your system is absolutely clean and safe, you should consider investing in a licensed antispyware tool.

DailyLocalGuide Toolbar comes from a long line of potentially unwanted browser applications that are considered adware. For example, it is practically identical to Video Scavenger Toolbar, RefereceBooks Toolbar, RetroGamer Toolbar, and many other browser extensions from the MindSpark family. As you can see, all of these toolbars are supposedly created to provide you with some specific function, which is supposed to improve your overall web browsing experience. Alas, that is not exactly the case. DailyLocalGuide Toolbar might look like a browser extension that should make your life easier, but it can only make it more complicated because it supports third-party content.

Some users think that DailyLocalGuide Toolbar is a browser hijacker because if you install the full version of this extension on your browser, your default homepage and search engine get changed too. That is so because this toolbar is powered by Ask, and by default Ask.com is supposed to be set as your default search engine and homepage. Although originally, Ask was a search engine used by users worldwide, the service was discontinued in 2011, so it is rather suspicious that DailyLocalGuide Toolbar makes use of a search engine that is no longer supported by its developers.

What’s more, unless you remove DailyLocalGuide Toolbar from your computer, you will soon be flooded by various notifications and commercial offers whenever you access affiliated websites. Here you have to realize that DailyLocalGuide Toolbar might display ads that contain third-party content. The toolbar is not responsible for the security of third-party content, and, as a result, cyber criminals might exploit the toolbar to promote their own web pages. This means that you must be very careful about random pop-ups that appear on your browser’s screen out of nowhere. Also, you need to delete DailyLocalGuide Toolbar and everything related to this application from your system at once.

Please follow the instructions below to terminate DailyLocalGuide Toolbar once and for all. Don’t forget that this toolbar might have entered your system bundled with additional applications you have downloaded from file sharing websites. Take care of these programs as well, and do invest in a legitimate computer security tool that would protect your system from other intruders in the future.
