  • Changes default search engine is a browser hijacker that enters your system uninvited. It will modify your default homepage and search engine behind your back, thus trying to make easy money for its developers. You must remove at once if you want to protect your computer from potential security issues. Please invest in a legitimate computer security application to run a full system scan, as clearly hasn’t entered your PC on its own, so you need to delete all the other potential threats as well. For any further questions, you are always welcome to leave us a comment.

Here we would like to point out that users play an important role in distribution as well. It is true that this browser hijacker gets into the target computer stealthily, but unless the user initiates the actual freeware download, nothing happens. Why freeware? That is because does not have a direct distribution source, so it needs to hop on into someone else’s wagon, and that is freeware and shareware applications that are available for download from file-sharing websites. This also means that you will need to remove more unwanted programs from your system, and is clearly not the only security issue you have to deal with.

On the other hand, we are not trying to say that adware or freeware applications are direct computer security threats. In fact, neither is, but this infection comes from a long line of browser hijackers (e.g.,,, etc.), so it shouldn’t be taken lightly. If you do not remove on time, chances are that you will be soon flooded with annoying third-party commercials that will redirect you to corrupted websites. From there, it is only a matter of time when you will get infected with malware. Hence, the sooner you delete this browser hijacker from your computer, the better.

Some users may think that is a reliable search provider because it does display certain search results, but almost all of them are customized based on your web browsing history. tracks your web browsing habits so that it could display targeted content, thus increasing the possibility of you clicking any of the ads or outgoing links. Needless to say, you should stay away from third-party content that can lead you to malicious websites.

This also shows that you need to get rid of at once; otherwise the browser hijacker could be exploited by malevolent third parties for their own gains. What’s more, as mentioned above, you need to remove all the potential threats that are currently present on your system, so don’t forget that clearly isn’t the only problem at hand. If you need any assistance with malware removal, please let us know.
