CrossBrowser

CrossBrowser is a browser add-on which makes some unauthorized changes on your desktop. The browser removes the quick launch and desktop shortcuts of Google Chrome and replaces them with its shortcut. Moreover, the CrossBrowser Internet browser is set as the default browser. The CrossBrowser program also creates additional shortcuts to websites such as Amazon.com, Facebook.com, and Wikipedia.com, so that you can enhance your online experience. However, a lot of computer users find these characteristics unappealing and want to remove CrossBrowser from the computer.

We also recommend that you remove CrossBrowser, which is identical to another Internet browser named BoBrowser, which is developed by CLARALABSOFTWARE. This browser is promoted at bobrowser.com; however, in the case of CrossBrowser, no official website has been found. That implies that the CrossBrowser program gets access onto a computer through other programs; i.e., bundled with media players, browser add-ons, and many other free programs. For example, it has been found that the CrossBrowser program is bundled with programs such as Desktop Dock, VuuPC, WordProser, and some other free applications that can be removed from the computer by certain security tools.

Both BoBrowser and CrossBrowser are based on the Chromium platform, which was used to create Google Chrome. The two potentially unwanted programs look like the Google Chrome browser, which confuses computer users, and they may not notice the changes made.

Another reason why you should not wait but remove CrossBrowser from the computer is the fact that the browser shows advertisements on mainly commercial websites. Those ads are labeled “brought by CrossBrowser” and are of different types, including web banners and pop-ups. Moreover, a JollyWall bar inviting you to open a JollyWallet account is displayed. JollyWallet is a service enabling you to regain a certain amount of money after purchasing items on shopping websites. We advise you against relying on such services and encourage you remove CrossBrowser from the PC.

Below you will find our step-by-step instructions that should help you uninstall CrossBrowser, but we recommend that you remove this potentially unwanted program using a reputable security program. Our team suggests using SpyHunter, because this program removes BoBrowser and can easily eliminate CrossBrowser and many other programs, including Trojan horses, adware, browser hijackers, fake anti-virus programs, etc.

After removing CrossBrowser from the PC, you can easily restore your shortcuts by copying the Google Chrome shortcut from the Start menu and pasting it on your desktop. If you have any question concerning the removal of CrossBrowser, feel free to leave a comment below.

Hit the Control-Alt-Delete keys at the same time; chose start Task Manager; highlight anything that has Crossbrowse in the description and in the lower right corner, hit end process. I had to hit three different processes. Then, I could remove the program.

After reading advice on here, I used task manager and by accident, went to the section called processes and yippe do dah, saw crossbrowser and managed to deleted it. Tried for two days to uninstall it normally and couldn't and, although I still have a few residual problems, I was actually ready to dump the laptop... try processes on task manager as it might work better.

  26. Donald Jun 17, 2015

Then i whent to task manager -> processen -> and somewhere in the list stands crossbrowse. If you end that process you can go to delete a program and you can delete crossbrowse by itself.

I have tried going to the process tab of the task manager and deleting the 3 crossbrowser programs from there, but the 3rd one refuses to go away, preventing me from uninstalling. Someone help.

  43. Enji Jul 17, 2015

uninstalled it successfully but it came back///

  44. Anupong Jul 21, 2015

Hey for all of you that cannot uninstall this program...

You have to go into the task manager as others above have said already. But instead of finding and deleting 'crossbrowse', you should find something that appears to be abnormal, e.g., 67938-6564... something like that, and it is usually at the top of the process tab in task manager. Just end that process and uninstall crossbrowse normally. I couldn't uninstall it for days until I eventually did this. Hope this helps you.

  45. Babu Jul 24, 2015
