DealPlug

DealPlug may look like a useful application that is there to help you save on your purchases online, but that is very far from the truth. Sure, the program will display commercial offers, and some of them will look rather attractive, but do not click any of the DealPlug ads! Some of the ads might be embedded with outgoing links to unreliable websites, and this is a security risk you must avoid. Hence, you need to remove DealPlug from your computer immediately, and if you need any assistance with that, please scroll down to the bottom of this description.

This adware application does not seem like a very prevalent intruder. The detection count is low, and we can conclude that it clearly does not have a direct distribution source. Our security research shows that DealPlug may have semi-random name distribution, which means that the application can be related to DownPay, CoupApp, CutThePrice, AllSaver, and many other applications from the same group. They are known to be distributed via InstallRex, Vittalia and Amonetize installers. We can only assume that DealPlug probably arrives bundled with freeware when users look for specific applications on third-party websites. Even if they do download a program they have been looking for, they probably do not even notice how DealPlug gets installed along.

DealPlug adds extensions to your default browser, and it starts collecting information on your web browsing habits. This data is necessary in order to create your online profile. This way the people behind DealPlug will know what your likes and preferences are. Having that mind, they will be able to customize DealPlug ads content, thus increasing the possibility of you clicking any of the ads. Needless to say, you should never click commercial pop-ups that appear out of nowhere when you access a popular online store. These ads might be delivered by third party, and their content is not reliable!

To tell you the truth, adware applications are more annoying than dangerous, but it does not mean you should not take DealPlug seriously. It is important that you remove DealPlug as soon as possible. What is more, if you uninstall the program via Control Panel, the extensions will remain on your browser, so you will have to delete them manually via browser settings. On top of that, you are bound to have more unwanted applications on board because DealPlug seldom travels alone.

To figure out which programs must be removed from your computer, scan the system with SpyHunter free scanner. You should be able to delete all of the programs manually, but investing in a powerful antispyware tool is always a good idea.
