Ad info virus

If you are concerned about pop-up advertisements and web banners containing the label Ad info, do not think that you are infected by a computer virus. Ad info pop-ups are displayed when the computer contains a browser extension called UnfriendApp browser extension. Upon clicking on the phrase Ad info, the computer user is taken to openappmedia.com/ad-information.html, where OpenApp Media is presented as a platform enabling software developers to generate revenues by proving computer users with non-intrusive advertisements.

The so-called Ad info virus can be bundled with various programs. The bundled installer may ask you to change the settings of the browser. For example, you may be offered Conduit Search, which is notorious for being promoted by various browser toolbar. If you do not want to change the settings of your browsers, always pay close attention to the information that you are provided with.

The UnfriendApp browser extension is created by GenTechnologies Apps, which is known as Creative Island Media, Big Water Applications, and Western Web Applications. Other programs such as Websteroids, SearchDonkey, and MovieMode may also display Ad info advertisements, but, if you have already tried those ads and want to stop them from being displayed, remove the so-called Ad info virus as soon as you can.

The Ad info virus, or simply the UnfriendApp browser add-on, displays random advertisements on various websites, including YouTube and MSN. The content of the advertisements has nothing to do with the browser add-on, which is categorized as adware. Every advertisement belongs to a specific website, which is not endorsed by the developers of the UnfriendApp browser add-on. You interact with those advertisements at your own risk, and, if you feel that you are not comfortable with them, do not hesitate to remove the adware program from the PC.

The Ad info virus can be removed from your computer in two ways. First, you can try eliminating the program manually, which you can do with the help of the removal guide presented below. Another option is automatic removal. We recommend that you install a reputable spyware removal which is capable of deleting every single component of the adware program.
