Remove undesirable programs from the PC

Remove from Windows 8:

  1. Access the Metro UI menu, right-click on the background and select All apps.
  2. Open the Control Panel and click Uninstall a program (under Programs).
  3. Right-click the application you wish to remove from the system and select Uninstall.

Remove from Windows Vista or Windows 7:

  1. Move to the left of the Task Bar and click the Start menu icon.
  2. Select Control Panel and then click Uninstall a program.
  3. Find the program you want to remove, right-click it and select Uninstall.

Remove from Windows XP:

  1. Open the Start menu from the Task Bar and select Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Find the undesirable application, click it and select Remove.

Delete undesirable plugins and search tools

Delete from Google Chrome:

  1. Open the browser, simultaneously tap Alt+F and click Settings.
  2. Under On Startup mark Open a specific page or set of pages and click Set pages.
  3. Overwrite/delete the URL representing the undesirable search tool and click OK.
  4. Navigate to Appearance and mark Show Home button. Click Change.
  5. Change/remove the undesirable search option and click OK.
  6. Click Manage search engines under Search and add a new default search provider.
  7. Find the URL of the undesirable search provider, click X to remove it and select Done.
  8. Navigate to the top of the Settings tab and click Extensions from the menu on the left.
  9. Click the recycle bin icon next to the undesirable plugin and select Remove.

Delete from Internet Explorer:

  1. Open the browser and simultaneously tap Alt+T to access the Tools menu.
  2. Select Manage Add-ons and move to Search Providers.
  3. Choose a new default search provider and Remove the undesirable option.
  4. Now select Toolbars and Extensions and Disable the undesirable ones. Click Close.
  5. One more time simultaneously tap Alt+T to open the Tools menu.
  6. Click the General tab, change/remove the Home Page URL and click OK.

Delete from Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open the browser and navigate to the search box on the top-right corner of the page.
  2. Click the search provider icon and select Manage Search Engines.
  3. Select the undesirable search tool, click Remove and then Close.
  4. Simultaneously tap keys Alt+T to open the Tools menu at the top of the page. Select Options.
  5. Click the General tab, change/remove the Home Page URL and click OK.
  6. Now simultaneously tap Ctrl+Shift+A. This will open the Add-ons Manager menu.
  7. Navigate to the left, click Extensions and Disable/Remove the undesirable plugins.
