  6. Locate the unwanted extension and select Remove.
  7. Go to the start page of your browser and click on the search box in the upper-right part of the screen.
  8. Tap F4 and choose new search provider from the menu.
  9. Tap F4 again and select Manage Search Engines…
  10. Locate the useless search engine on the list and click Remove.

Google Chrome

  1. Launch your browser and then press Alt+F to open the Chrome menu.
  2. Select Tools and go to Extensions.
  3. Click on the extension that needs to be erased and press the recycle bin button.
  4. Click Remove.
  5. Select Settings from the same menu on the left.
  6. In On startup, select Open a specific page or set of pages. Click Set pages.
  7. Add/remove URL and click OK.
  8. Under Appearance, mark Show Home button and click Change.
  9. Add/Remove the URL of your homepage and then click OK.
  10. Locate Search and click Manage search engines…
  11. Select the search engine and click Make default.
  12. Find the unwanted engine and click X.
  13. Click Done to close the window.
