SearchPage virus

SearchPage virus is a malicious computer infection which modifies your browser settings without asking for your authorization first. The threat is represented via the searchpage.com search engine, and if you have discovered it set as the start page or the default search provider you should think whether a browser hijacker has not infected the system. Even though it is indicated that the search tool supports the search results of Yahoo, it is extremely suspicious why one would be offered to use this instead of going straight to yahoo.com. Overall, we recommend that you remove SearchPage virus from the PC in order to avoid potential risks.

If you have run searchpage.com as a regular search engine you must have noticed the redirecting to yahoo search, like images.search.yahoo.com or search.yahoo.com. Even though the search engine is authentic you should not use it unless you delete SearchPage virus. Since the infection can corrupt your browsers there is no way of telling what other malign activity it could perform next. Some of its components could even be used to spy on you or collect private information. If you do not eliminate this risk there is a great chance that soon enough the removal of the browser hijacker will simply become one of the many problems you have.
