    It isn't hard: uninstall it from your programs, then go into IE Settings, Internet Options, Advanced, reset, click reset personal settings, apply, then close IE, perform a clean up, and restart IE. All traces should be gone.

    DDG was downloaded with FireFox. It's NOT listed in programs. Deleted FireFox but, DuckDuckGo remains on my system. NOW I can not access settings in Google Chrome.

    Holy ***** are these people actually autistic? Duck duck and go is a Google alternative centered around privacy, if it's on by default you're likely using a ***** linux fork of firefox, just go to your settings and change Google to your default browser if you still trust that *****ty company

    I am gladdened by the last few comments here. Today I was told by a 'tech' person that 'you are using DDG, congratulations you have spyware'. It is surprising what kind of person can be deluded by this kind of misinformation. This whole website is clearly spreading misinformation in the aim spreading malware. DDG actively protects users from 'spyware' in that it provides a search alternative which won't track every single thing you do.

    DDgo is a total nightmare it pops up nasty stuff and wont go away.just like the comments I just saw on today. Verizon support helped me remove it, the went to see if it was gone and to my amazement it was still there man o man it like a bad dream canwake up from.
