Movies Toolbar

Movies Toolbar is a browser add-on, which may also be called browser hijacker by some malware researchers. The application is distributed by Bandoo media, Inc, and you can come across this application when installing some free program. One of the programs which promoted Movies Toolbar is iLivid. This software is known to distribute various free applications, which means that soon in the future another free application, perhaps a browser add-on, will be bundled with this program.

We recommend that you remove Movies Toolbar even though it is not a virus. The toolbar contains links to various websites related to movies and, as you may already know, can change the settings of the browsers. Additionally, it may monitor your browsing sessions and cause the display of advertisements.

As to the changes made to the browsers, Movies Toolbar can change the home page and search provider. If you pay no attention to the installation wizard and agree with the terms, your home page is changed to search.ask.com, while the search provider is changed to Ask.com.

On the startup page you will find six links to Facebook, a free music website, YouTube, Yahoo, Twitter, and Gmail. The search results, not surprisingly, will contain sponsored links. We recommend that you ignore those links and remove Movies Toolbar from the PC. Most of all, you should restore the previous settings of your browsers.

If you have installed iLivid or some other free application, remove from the PC in order to minimize the risk of being spied on by a third-party. Below you will find our step-by-step instructions which should help you uninstall the unwanted programs and change the settings of the browsers. But keep in mind that it is not enough to uninstall the program you have to make sure that no dangerous threats are present with the PC.
