Genieo is a legitimate computer application that can alter the search provider of Internet Explorer. Genieo is known as personalized web information management application which does not require the interference of the user. The application monitors the user’s interest and generates a news feed on the start page of the browser.  It also analyzes your preferences and filters information in order to provide you with the latest news.

It is highly advisable to read the information provided in the installation wizard as you can find interesting facts about the application. How to remove Genieo

Windows Vista and Windows 7

1. Open the Start menu and click Control Panel.
2. Click Uninstall a program.
3. Double-click Genieo (published by Gineo Innovation Ltd.)

Windows XP

1. Open the Start menu and click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or Remove programs.
3.  Select Genieo and click the Remove button.

Windows 8

1. Press and hold down the Windows key and press R.
2. Type control panel and click OK.
3. Select Uninstall a program.
4. Remove Genieo.

Having completed the removal, scan the PC for malware.
