Findr

Findr is the name of a toolbar and search engine. The toolbar can be downloaded from findrsearch.com, or it can be bundled with some free programs. As Findr toolbar can change the home page your Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, you may find that Findr is also referred to as a browser hijacker. If you uncheck particular options provided in the installer of a program that distributes Findr, you can avoid the installation of the toolbar. However, if it is too late and you already want to remove Findr, do it right now.

Findr enables the user to access Facebook, Twitter, and other websites.  The search results which you come across may be shared on your Facebook and Twitter account with one click; moreover, you can customize the toolbar by changing its color.

If you agree to have your browsers altered, your home page is changed to findrsearch.com, while every new tab opens go.findrsearch.com. Among the search results you will find some links to advertising websites. The ads are displayed according to your search queries, but due to the fact that some of the ads may lead you to insecure web pages, we advise avoiding advertisements in order not to put your computer in danger.

As to the removal of Findr, it is necessary to uninstall the toolbar and change the settings of the browser. In Add/Remove Program (Windows XP) and Uninstall a program (Windows Vista/7/8) list, you will find the uninstall program of Findr. On the Internet Explorer you will find that the add-on is published by Mactel Labs, Inc.

As Findr is not a computer infection whose removal needs good troubleshooting skills, you can try removing Findr manually. Bellow you will find our step-by-step instructions that will help you uninstall the unwanted toolbar and restore browser settings.

However, manual removal procedures are sometimes insufficient, and a powerful spyware removal tool has to be used. We recommend using SpyHunter, which can remove Findr toolbar and protect the computer against various computer threats.
