Arestocrat virus

It seems that cyber criminals have upgraded their ransomware infections (also referred to as hostageware) as some computer users have already been hit by the threats that not only make the system inoperable and display a full-screen warning but also display a warning saying “Arestocrat”. The Arestocrat warning is visible for a few seconds while the user is still able to navigate around the Start menu.  If you have just found that the computer is infected with the so-called Arestocrat virus, it is advisable to implement a spyware removal tool that could remove the infection.

It is likely that Arestocrat virus comes alongside ransomware infections which display warning on behalf of various law enforcement agencies. For example, the warning may display the logo of FBI, Department of Justice or some other authoritative institution which fights cybercrime. Typically, when such an institution is presented, the user also finds that he or she is accused of being involved in some illegal activity, which, in most cases is related to the use of copyrighted or pornographic material.

Additionally, the user is also demanded to pay a fine by entering a pin code of a Ukash, Paysafacard, or MoneyPak voucher. If your computer is infected with Arestocrat virus and you are required to pay a fine in order to unlock the computer, all that you should do is remove the so-called Arestocrat virus.

There is no need to pay the required money as you are not guaranteed that the computer will be unlocked after having made the payment. Moreover, if the warning you have claims that the payment must be paid within 48 hours, or that you files have been encrypted, ignore it and take immediate actions to remove Arestocrat virus.

We recommend that you do not waste your time and energy trying to figure out how to remove the infection but implement a spyware removal tool. Use SpyHunter if you want to have the infection deleted and the system protected against similar instances in the future.
