Mysearchdial Toolbar

There are many toolbars that are designed to improve your web browsing experience. However, some toolbars are not as useful as they might seem. MySearchDial Toolbar is a browser plugin developed by IronInstall and it is compatible with all main browsers. According to the official website at mysearchdial.com, this toolbar allows you to access your favorite search results with just one click and the toolbar itself provides you with various web services. Needless to say, that MySearchDial Toolbar is nowhere near being a malicious computer infection, but quite a few users consider it a potentially unwanted program, because of its resistance to removal.

The toolbar may also look suspicious, because it can change your home page and your default search engine, but that you can control yourself, during the installation. If you are attentive enough you will notice that MySearchDial Toolbar has two installation options - recommended and advanced. Here is what the installation wizard says when you need to choose which version to install:

MySearchDial is a free popular toolbar which offers 1-click access to search restults, most popular websites and a customized & personalized new tab experience allowing quick access to your favorite content.

Quick (Recommended)
Set MySearchDial search as my homepage and default search engine. Set MySearchDial as my default new tab page

Advanced
Set MySearchDial as my homepage
Make MySearchDial my default search provider
Make MySearchDial my search provider with a new tab

As you can see, you can perfectly decide whether you want your home page changed or not. If you do not pay attention to this part of the installation, then your home page and your default search engine will be change to start.mysearchdial.com, and you will be exposed to commercial advertisements that urge you to scan your computer and improve your PC performance. You are advised to pay no heed to these ads, because MySearchDial is obviously not responsible for the third party ads, and they could be related to corrupted websites and even malware.

As a result, you are advised to remove MySearchDial Toolbar from your computer, because this way you will be able to avoid a number of security risks.

When I try to delete this from Control Panel I'm told that I must close my browser but even with the browser closed it won't go away

I tried the uninstall process and it still comes up in the IE browser. Also tried going into Tools>Manage add-ons> with no luck - it's not on the list.
