Politie Office Central Virus

Politie Office Central Virus is a ransomware infection whose interface scarcely differs from the other ransomware scams targeted at computer user in Belgium. It is crucial to remove Politie Office Central Virus or the Trojan infection which generates a misleading warning as the notification does not present real information. The warning contains the logo of the Belgian Federal Police (Politie) according to which the user has to pay a fine of 100 Euros.

The reason why the user is expected to pay the fine is said to be the fact that he or she is suspected of the use of copyrighted and pornographic material. The allegations are presented in a warning which is generated once the infection alters the registry and blocks particular executable files. Even though the warning contains the logo of the police and a headline saying “De Lutte Contre la Criminalité Liée Technologies de l’Information et de la Comuncation”, it is important to disregard the content of the message:

Attention! Votre ordinateur est bloqué à cause d’un ou de plusieurs motifs, indiqués ci dessous.

The fact that the warning is written in French and that the warning seems to be sent by the police does not prove the authenticity of the warning. Very similar notifications are distributed in Slovenia, Romania, Portugal and other countries. Politie Office Central Virus does not differ from FBI Paypal virus or Joint Chiefs of Staff virus in terms of the scare tactics even though the latter cases are aimed at deceiving English-speaking computer users.

Unlike rogue security applications seeking to get the user’s money and get a hold of his/her personal data such credit card number and other identifiable details, Politie Office Central Virus wants to collect codes of Paysafecard or Ukash vouchers. If you have ever used these two online money transaction servers, you probably know that Paysafecard and Ukash can be used only on particular websites, which are listed on their official websites. Do not exchange your money into the voucher but remove Politie Office Central Virus from the PC as soon as you can.

The police that are presented in the warning are not related to the producers of messages, so remove the threat from the PC without hesitation. In order to kill the infection easily and protect the system, implement SpyHunter as this spyware removal tool can easily delete malware and fight various computer infections off.
