As you can see for yourself, Appround.net is a website that distributed PC Performer. It is a computer optimization program, but security experts warn it cannot be trusted due to the fact, that it comes with a number of suspicious and corrupted files. Most of these files are identified as adware, which means that if you are infected with Appround.net browser hijacker, it is very likely that you will experience a flood of commercial pop-up advertisements as well. The danger behind these ads lies in the fact that they could be embedded with outgoing links to malware-related websites, thus increasing the risk of getting infected with dangerous computer threats.

The reason why you are infected with Appround.net is most probably bundled downloads. When you download free software applications from third party websites, they are often bundled with additional files, that might as well be malicious. Therefore, you have to be careful when you install such applications. Be sure to read every single line on the installation wizard, especially those parts that mention any other additional software that is about to be installed. Keep in mind, that users often allow such things as Appround.net to enter their systems themselves, so stay alert all of the time.

Why is Appround.net dangerous? Naturally, this infection is not as severe as a real computer virus, however, it is dangerous because it exposes your system to other possible infections. With constant redirections, you may eventually land on a corrupted website that distributes malware, or accidentally click on advertisements, that would be related to malware distribution as well. To remove Appround.net and to restore your browser settings, you need to modify your hosts file. Also, run a full PC scan with SpyHunter free scanner, and them remove all the malicious files from your PC. carlo,

Check your browsers shortcut properties. Some infections add their website URL in order to trick the browser loading the webpage.
