Downloader.Krakrues is a generic downloader Trojan that downloads arbitrary files onto the affected computer. It was first detected in November 2011. Downloader.Krakrues can infect almost all Windows systems, including Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and others. This Trojan brings a list of files with it, and some of them can help you to determine the infection itself.
For example, Downloader.Krakrues can use such file names: FileHam.ico, cgico.ico, ic.exe, sDico.exe, precache.exe, Yesfile.ico. Out of these files, you should focus on ic.exe, sDico.exe and precache.exe; because these are process files and they can appear among the running process list on Windows Task Manager. So even if you can’t see Downloader.Krakrues itself, you can determine its presence from these files associated to the Trojan.
However, it can cause myriads of problems for you before you realize that it’s Downloader.Krakrues responsible for everything. It connects to the network in secret and downloads malicious from ad79.co.kr. And once these files are executed it is no longer Downloader.Krakrues that you have to deal with but a bunch of new infections, so little by little your computer will slow down, unable to perform its task.
To save your system you need to remove Downloader.Krakrues from your computer. You can refer to the list of files provided below this description and delete the Trojan manually, but if you don’t know how to work with Registry Editor it would be better for you to acquire a powerful computer security tool.
The computer security program of choice will erase Downloader.Krakrues automatically, at the same time detecting the additional malware. This way you will clean your computer off all the infections in a go.
