AHomePCSafety.com is a malicious clone of the Zlob.Trojan. This Trojan is designed to trick consumers into paying for full versions of fake antispyware and security software such as VirusProtect, AntiSpyware Shield, AntiSpy Golder, Malware Run and Files Secure. This malicious browser hijacker will attempt to hijack users’ browsers and forcefully redirect them to the AHomePCSafety.com homepage. The browser hijacking element is just another trick employed by AHomePCSafety.com to push its malware onto its victims’ PCs.
Should AHomePCSafety.com gain control of your Internet browser, it will expose your PC to malware attacks, identity theft and other online threats. AHomePCSafety.com will also forcefully change your homepage to its landing page, and prevent you from being able to change your homepage to another address. This threat will also start spamming its victims with various annoying pop up messages, one of which reads as follows:
This is done to persuade the user to pay for the fake security software being touted by AHomePCSafety.com. Should you attempt to launch your browser again after this message the AHomePCSafety.com homepage will load once again, prompting you to buy its fake software again.
