Adware.Dymanet is an annoying and incessant adware application designed to track your online activity and then spam you with web ads based on that information gathered. It was first released on 21 July, 2010, and operates under various aliases, some of which are:
Users will not easily become aware of Adware.Dymanet’s presence on the system, since it works in the background, and does not call any attention to itself. This Adware.Dymanet sneakily enters the system without alerting the user. It achieves this by bundling itself with other applications, such as SoftwareBundler:Win32/MediaPass to name but one. It will insert ads into the Internet Explorer and Firefox internet browsers based on the user’s recent activities such as the sites visited and search terms used. Other symptoms associated with this adware include pop up ads and notifications which are based on the user’s online activities. It will also slow the system and Internet down. It will relay stolen information about the user to its developers which may further put the user at risk of identity theft and fraud.
