It has been reported that Adware.AdMoke is a malicious adware application which infiltrates the PC without the user’s knowledge, and then proceeds to delete important files from the PC. Adware.AdMoke will spread through the connected network PCs not by using network resources to spread, but instead spreads through a network by attaching itself to other computer worms and viruses.
Adware.AdMoke will open a backdoor to the system which its developers will use to gain complete access to the infected PC, and any data that is stored on the system such as personal and financial info. These range from usernames, passwords and credit card information. Users’ PCs which are infected with Adware.AdMoke will be used by its developers for many nefarious activities. These range from mass spamming campaigns, as well as Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, among many other wicked purposes.
This worm will also make the PC more vulnerable to other malicious software and infections which will attempt to attack and infect the PC. It does this by lowering the PC’s defense against such threats by disabling the system firewall and other security measures.
Despite all of these terrible tactics, Adware.AdMoke will also spam the user with many adverts based on his Internet activities. Many of these ads contain links to malicious domains hosting rogue security software and other malware infections. Adware.AdMoke will also operate under other aliases, some of which are:
In order to manually remove Adware.AdMoke from the system, you need to kill the following process:
However do not attempt to manually get rid of Adware.AdMoke if you are inexperienced in doing manual removals, as you may end up doing more harm than good. Instead employ the removal power of a genuine security tool which will not only successfully erase Adware.AdMoke, but also protect the PC against similar attacks in future.
