AV8

Many PC owners who have crossed paths with AV8 won’t be surprised that his rogue antispyware application is an exact clone of the highly despised Antivirus 8 malware. Both of these applications are harmful to PCs, and malicious and deceptive, merely imitating real security software. This is where the similarity to genuine security applications ends. AV8 offers no benefit to any system, and consumers should not fall prey to its fake promises.

Users who value the safety and security of their PCs will do well to urgently get rid of AV8. Inexperienced users are the targets of these unscrupulous cyber criminals, as they are more susceptible to panic and scare tactics. Users may not even be aware of AV8 on their system until they start experiencing the symptoms of an infection. Distributed by Trojans caught off of suspect and illicit websites, AV8 will creep up on its victims.

Once the PC is infected, quite legitimate looking fake computer scans will randomly start up. This is done in effort to mislead PC owners into believing their PCs have been overtaken by rampant infections. These scans, as well as the results are all bogus and no attention should be paid to it. Informing the user that AV8 is the only security tool able to delete these supposed infections; the user will be led to believe paying for AV8 is the only way to heal his PC of these nonexistent infections.

Users should never spend money on this rogue, but in the interest of protecting their PC and minimizing damage to the system should immediately remove AV8 using legitimate and updated antispyware security tools.
