License expiration error

Should you ever be presented with the License expiration error popup message, you are likely infected with malware. This warning will report on a fake Trojan infection named Trojan.FileHarakiri being present on the system, when this in fact is not the case.

Do not believe any correspondence from the License expiration error popup, and accept anything this fake alert tells you as suspect and untrustworthy. The fake warning will read as follows:

“License expiration error
Activation can’t be performed on an unlicensed version
Warning!
Windows found a virus on your computer, but could not remove it, because the utility to remove this type of virus is a professional product and in not supplied your copy of Windows. We recommend that you immediately purchase a license and remove the virus, because its activity can lead to irreversible consequences and loss of important files. Some of the files on your hard drive is already damaged and lost performance.”

The aim of the License expiration error alert is to convince consumers that the license of their antivirus program has expired. It will also inform users that it will be able to remove the fake Trojan.FileHarakiri threat once the user pays for a “Lifetime Update”. The consumer will then be required to enter his credit card details. Never fall for this scam, and use appropriate antispyware and antivirus software to permanently eradicate License expiration error from your system.
