Smart Engine Antivirus

When presented with the fake Smart Engine Antivirus, you can be forgiven to think this is just another enthusiastic rogue application. The reason why Smart Engine Antivirus is so incessant is exactly where its danger lies. The level of vitriol is unprecedented as Smart Engine Antivirus lodges its attack on its targeted system. A clone of the My Security Shield rogue, Smart Engine Antivirus is recognized by its ability to cripple infected PCs by blocking the execution of legitimate applications, including software and security programs.

Among other serious symptoms associated with Smart Engine Antivirus infections ranges the blocked Internet connections, system instability and slowed system performance. These types of sneaky tactics are employed by most rogue security programs in an effort to extort the consumer into buying their useless software’s full version. Once Smart Engine Antivirus gets hold of the consumer’s billing and credit card info, it will resell and constantly reuse the credit card info, committing credit card fraud.

In a further attack on the PC owner and his system, Smart Engine Antivirus will bombard the user with many fake messages informing him of fake infections. This is done in an effort to scare and panic the user into believing his system is infected with many serious infections, and to further convince him of Smart Engine Antivirus’s ability to clean his PC. These messages would read as follows:

“System Alert
malicious applications, which may contain Trojans, were found on your computer and are to be removed immediately. Click here to remove these potentially harmful items using Smart Engine.”

“Warning
Warning! Virus detected
Threat Detected: Trojan-PSW.Win32.Delf.d”

“System Alert
Firewall has blocked a program from accessing the Internet.
Internet Explorer
C:Program FilesInternet ExplorerIexplore.exe
Lsas.Trojan-Spy.DOS.Keycopy is suspected to have infected your PC. This type of virus intercepts entered data and transmits it to a remote server. Data interception was detected while visiting a website.”

It is important to remember that when presented with Smart Engine Antivirus, nothing should be believed about what it has to say. Never trust this application, and delete Smart Engine Antivirus off the system at the first opportunity.
