i cant find it anywhere on my pc, where can it be then
I put pav.exe in my search engine, and it brought it right up. I couldn't delete it, so I just restored my computer to an earlier time, and so far it hasn't showed up!

this personal antivirus has completely killed my pc it wont let me on the internet, it wont let run programs its done
I tired the " Regedit " however couldn't find the code. I tired to restore to an earlier date, that didn't work either. This thing is driving me crazy. Please someone help. I have a Windows xp if anyone has the code to delete for this version please help, I'm going crazy here!!!

i went into the browser helper objects but cannot find the code numbers that you list to remove PAV. do you have any ideas as to which ones i could delete? and unfortunately i also have system security that im trying to get rid of as well.

I went to safe mode and serched pav.exe In my serch box and two things came up, i clicked deleted, restarted and its working fine now, thanks For all your guyses help

managed to delete PAV by task manaer but now my internet explore doesnt work as everything is blocked and says error so now what any other ideas people
I deleted it from the task manager and everything seems to be okay. I am so happy...for now:) Thanks guys!

go into the internet options under tools and then into security and select custom ,there ARE possibly loads of things that have bn disabled due to the virus

I also got this nasty virus and paid by debit visa, their was no money in the account at the time, do youthink I need to cancel my debitvisa card, go rid of the virus by downlowding advast antivius an it did a start up scan and got rid of it but i am concerned about my visa card please advise me

Call your bank and hsve the payments blocked! Its a virus and they are not a legitimate site!! I had to have my debit card changed!!

HELP ME - I have successfully removed anti-virus from my pc. but my pc is still really slow but only when connected to the internet. Could this still be part of the virus? or is it just coincendce, now the summer holidays are started and the internet is busier?

Everyone understand, a "TROJAN" IS NOT a virus. It's a master key that opens all 65,535 ports every PC contains and allows viruses in, by disabling your security (anti-virus) software first. You'll notice the computer date is fast sometimes, you'll notice your browser has been hijacked etc. These programs are installed with/without your permisison, if you don't have your computers up to date with security and Windows software.

How do I unistall this program Personnal Antivirus. I have tried to uninstall and it is not on programs and features.
For what its worth I just did a system restore to 2 days previous and hey presto seems to have worked!! Folder in progame file completely disappeared.

Hi I had it too, the reason you cant delete it is that it is that the programme is running. Hers how to delete it. Firstly stop it running vis. Control.alt delete brings up your task manager, click on process and you will see the PAV.EXE is running, highlite it, click on stop process, and thereafter you can delete the PAV.EXE file without trouble. After that run a registry clean up so that your PC doesnt look for it again. Best to all
