After all, the easy-access links it displays represent third-party sites, and you can even see banner ads on the home page. Moreover, even the search engine can be employed to deliver ads. Some links could be taken from the original Yahoo search engine, but others could be injected by the hijacker.   1. Launch RUN by simultaneously tapping the Win+R keys.

  2. Select Extensions and Remove the unwanted add-on.
  3. Tap Alt+T and click Options.
  4. In the General menu move to the Home Page section.
  5. Overwrite the URL.

Google Chrome:

  1. Launch the browser and tap keys Alt+T.
  2. Select More tools and then hit Extensions.
  3. Click the recycling bin next to the unwanted add-on and choose Remove.
  4. In the menu on the left select Settings.
  5. Navigate to the On Startup menu.
  6. Check Open a specific page or set of pages and click Set pages.
  7. Overwrite the URL and click OK.
