Antivirus Trigger

Antivirus Trigger (AntivirusTrigger, AntivirusTrigger 2.1) is a renegade spyware removal application. Antivirus Trigger tends to behave like a real anti-spyware scanner, but the difference comes in that Antivirus Trigger tends to post fictitious and exaggerated lists of Spyware threats, all as an attempt to alarm the user. This ruse is used to acquire a PC user’s credit card number. Antivirus Trigger also makes use of very aggressive advertising. While the 'scan' is taking place, Antivirus Trigger displays a warning dialog box from the Taskbar that informs the user of threat 'detection'. Once the user clicks on the Delete option, Antivirus Trigger will immediately ask the user to purchase the full version of Antivirus Trigger product. This warning box appears many times. Antivirus Trigger is capable of causign programs to crash and may even result in the system beign compromised to such a level that it will freeze a system.
