Security2009

Security2009 (Security 2009) is another new renegade application which claims to be a tool one should use to remove all spyware. Although Security2009 initially seems legit and promising, it is in fact nothing more than a scam. Firstly, Security2009 is distributed via a fake codec, which immediately installs Trojan applications onto the targeted computer system. Secondly, the Trojan programs start displaying various error messages alluding to infections being present on the system. These notifications sent to the system are all fictitious and are only made to coerce the users and force them into purchasing a full license of Security2009. Additionally, should the system user attempt to remove Security2009, they will only find that Security2009 is not listed in the “Add/Remove programs” section and that there is no such function as “Uninstall”. When a user attempts to delete Security2009 files manually, they may find that Security2009 has recreated itself – and is therefore extremely difficult to remove manually. It is seriously advised that one should remove Security2009 as soon as possible.
