HomePageOnWeb.com/security (HomePageOnWeb.com/security/xp/, HomePageOnWeb.com/security/vista), being a browser hijacker, was designed as a Windows Security Centre web page. HomePageOnWeb.com/security will display a message about the presence of a worm application: Zlob infection. The erroneous warning message will read as follows:

This warning is fake, and it’s only aim is to coerce a computer user into downloading Micro AV, Micro Antivirus 2009, MicroAntivirus2009 malware –affiliate malware applications that accompany HomePageOnWeb.com/security. It has been reported that HomePageOnWeb.com/security may covertly install alternative spyware, which will only result in permanent damage to the infected computer. Experts suggest the immediate removal of HomePageOnWeb.com/security form any computer system.
