Conduit virus

Have you located the Conduit virus running on the Windows operating system? The first topic that needs to be addressed when discussing this potential threat is its category. As our researchers have revealed, this is not virus after all, and many computer users believe it to be one due the suspicious activity related to it. When you install Conduit software onto your personal computer you are always presented with an installer asking you to confirm the installation of additionally promoted software, including PasswordBox, TuneUp Utilities, or Conduit search tools. In some cases, these additional programs are set to install onto the PC automatically if you click the unifying Install/Accept button. Needless to say, you should not treat an application as malicious if it does not impose any threats. Despite this, there are a few reasons why we recommend that you remove Conduit related software.

Conduit is a platform which is used to create various different applications. There are hundreds of well-known Conduit Community Toolbars which you may have faced already. Some of them include Nvstech Toolbar, Bitlord Toolbar, Oscar Delta Toolbar and Metacrawler Toolbar. If you install the applications onto your Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers without focusing on the presented installation setup, you could be surprised by the additionally installed software. It is quite possible that you will find search.conduit.com set as the default search engine and the home page of all your browsers. Even though the search engine does not look unreliable, we do not recommend running it because it is most likely to route you to various undesirable websites. For example, the search engine could easily route you to google.com/search, which is not risky but certainly undesirable. If you wish to use Google search, you should replace the unreliable search.conduit.com without further hesitation.
