How to remove

Alter Windows hosts file

  1. On the Start menu, right-click Notepad.
  2. Select Run as administrator.
  3. Follow the path C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc and open the hosts file using Notepad.
  4. Make sure that the bottom line is either localhost or ::1 and save the changes.

Change Proxy settings

Internet Explorer

  1. Press Alt+T and click Internet Options.
  2. Under the Connections tab, click LAN settings.
  3. Uncheck the box under Proxy server and click OK.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Press Alt+T and click Options.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Under the Network tab, click Settings.
  4. Click Manual proxy configuration and enter the information that is required.
  5. Click OK.

Google Chrome

  1. Press Alt+F and click Settings.
  2. Scroll down until you find Show advanced settings. Click it.
  3. In the Network section, click Change proxy settings.
  4. Under the Connections tab, click LAN settings.
  5. Uncheck the box under Proxy Settings and click OK.

Restore the settings of the browsers

Internet Explorer

  1. Press Alt+T.
  2. Click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Advanced tab - > Reset.
  4. Select the check box given and click Reset.
  5. Click Close to finish the reset.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Press Alt+H.
  2. Select Troubleshooting Information.
  3. Click Reset Firefox - > Reset Firefox - > Finish.

Google Chrome

  1. Press Alt+F.
  2. Point to Tools and click Extensions.
  3. Remove the unwanted add-ons.
  4. Click Settings.
  5. In the On startup section, click Set pages and make changes.
  6. In the Search section, click Manage search engines and change the search providers.
