virus files and entries varies from each OS. please note if this is for what OS.
Not all the files, processes and registry entries can be found. Deleted all I could find. Even the complete folder where I found the .exe files to start up the stupid program. Still no way to start up my original protection or even to download and install a new version. Anyone with a solution??

You could have something more in your system. Because these rogues usually come with Trojan backdoors, Trojan downloaders. I suggest you to try downloading a free scanner and scan your system. If scanner will pick something you will see the path to those infected files and you will be able to delete them.

Download Spyhunter and do a system scan - its free. It will show all infected files *****ociated with Smart Internet Protection 2011.
When I go to uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN" it is already unchecked. Then when I try to download Spyhunter, I am redirected.

Well I'd like to get rid of Smart Internet Protection 2011 but I'm a bit nervous about this SpyHunter scanner ...
I removed it after destroying a certain file named S135b_289. This is the core file. It is very hard to delete as it will try to resist your order to delete. But after a while ti will be removed if you keep trying to move it to the recycle bin!
Im on other computer whilst trying to get rid of it, but i tried the instructions above and i still havent got hold of my internet, its really slow and then it just says 'connection error' or something, what else can i do now? advice please
