Smart Internet Protection 2011

Evolutions of rogue antispyware applications are well documented by the online security industry, but no one was prepared for the vitriol behind Smart Internet Protection 2011’s attack on PCs. Smart Internet Protection 2011, as its predecessor Personal Internet Security 2011 enters the system surreptitiously and will remain hidden until it starts its attack on the system. Smart Internet Protection 2011 was not designed to be of any benefit to a PC, and does not have the ability to detect, quarantining or remove any type of threat or infection. This rogue was designed to rip its victims off, and it will simply stop at nothing to achieve this feat, even causing permanent damage its victims’ systems.

The acidic attack of Smart Internet Protection 2011 should never be underestimated. Entering the system through subversive Trojan horse infections, its infiltration is nearly impossible to gauge. Browser hijackers remain one of the most popular forms of distribution for Smart Internet Protection 2011 and similar rogues. Other types of distribution employed include bundled Trojan and malware infections with other software and security downloads obtained from third party websites, as well as fake online malware scanners.

Once the Smart Internet Protection 2011 infection is rooted in the system, it will remain dormant until it starts its attack on the system. This will herald the PC owner being spammed by incredibly irritating pop up messages acting as fake security alerts. These alerts were designed with the express intention of causing panic in users, and also placing Smart Internet Protection 2011 in a position of authority. Obviously none of these fake security messages can be trusted, and users should not even entertain any notion of acting on them. One notorious fake security alert used as part of Smart Internet Protection 2011’s attack on the system.

Smart Internet Protection 2011 has been known to include sneaky calls to action in their fake security notifications. This would usually include Smart Internet Protection 2011 asking the user to scan his PC with its fake malware scanner or redirecting the user to an online payment portal where he will be expected to pay for Smart Internet Protection 2011 products. This should never happen, as these online payment portals are not secure and developed and maintained by cyber criminals. This means that should the user disclose his personal payment information he will not have any control over who has any access to it, and may expose himself to further criminal victimization.

PC owners who did not get rid of Smart Internet Protection 2011 in time complained about various serious and disturbing symptoms, which includes blocked Internet connections and increased erratic system behavior. Some users also complained about being unable to launch any programs on the system and of dramatically poor system performance.

There is only one way you can take back control of your system; destroy Smart Internet Protection 2011. This will be your only guarantee and protection against the certain damage and devastation which follows a Smart Internet Protection 2011 infection. Take back what is rightfully yours and annihilate Smart Internet Protection 2011 straight away.

Not all the files, processes and registry entries can be found. Deleted all I could find. Even the complete folder where I found the .exe files to start up the stupid program. Still no way to start up my original protection or even to download and install a new version. Anyone with a solution??

  10. Pcthreat Feb 8, 2011

    Hello Chris,
First of all thanks for writing.
You could have something more in your system. Because these rogues usually come with Trojan backdoors, Trojan downloaders. I suggest you to try downloading a free scanner and scan your system. If scanner will pick something you will see the path to those infected files and you will be able to delete them.

I removed it after destroying a certain file named S135b_289. This is the core file. It is very hard to delete as it will try to resist your order to delete. But after a while ti will be removed if you keep trying to move it to the recycle bin!
