Any Search Manager

Any Search Manager is supposed to manage your web browsing by redirecting you via an unfamiliar search engine to showcase more relevant results. Although it tries to pose as a beneficial search assistant, in reality, it is a browser hijacker that was designed to take over your Google Chrome web browser. According to our research, the suspicious threat was created by the same party who stand behind SafeFinder, which is also a well-known browser hijacker. Ultimately, the threat cannot offer you beneficial services, and that is why you want to delete it from your browser as soon as possible. If you continue reading, you will not only learn more about the hijacker but how to get rid of it as well. Note that the Any Search Manager removal instructions are available below, but you should read the report first. If you come up with any questions for our team of analysts, you can add them to the comments section.

The suspicious Any Search Manager is officially represented at anysearchmanager.com, and its installer is also available on the Chrome web store at chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/any-search-manager-ds/hcjnfgjcjnbmokpmhkefkmkcdhchhime. These are considered the “official” sources. Unfortunately, many Google Chrome users are likely to let the hijacker in by accident or via much more suspicious paths. It was discovered that the threat could be introduced to users via pop-ups. They could present bogus information just to trick you into installing Any Search Manager. The hijacker could also be represented via software bundles. All in all, regardless of how you install the extension, it is strongly recommended that you install a trusted malware scanner. You need this tool because you need to have your operating system examined for undetected threats. Hopefully, there are none, and you can focus on the hijacker alone. However, if malware is found, make sure you delete it as soon as you can. Note that you can find thousands of guides representing the removal of unique infections. Once you know the names of the threats active on your PC, enter them one by one into the search field at the top to find more information.

When Any Search Manager is installed, your default search provider is automatically changed to “Any Seach Manager DS.” Because of this, every time you enter keywords into the address bar of the browser, you will be redirected via search.anysearchmanager.com to google.com/search. Well, that is a well-known search engine, and so it is perfectly safe for you to use it, right? Unfortunately, that is not the case. When the hijacker redirects via search.anysearchmanager.com, it can modify the results, which means that instead of finding regular results on Google Search, you might face advertisements and unpredictable third-party links. That is not all. When using Any Search Manager, information about your activity is recorded, and that can be used to expose you to links that you are more likely to be interested in. If these links were trustworthy, this would not be so bad at all; however, because they could be added by anyone, interacting with them is not recommended. As a matter of fact, interacting with the hijacker in any way is not recommended, and it is best for you to delete it as soon as possible.

It is obvious that you are better off without Any Search Manager. This hijacker does nothing else but modifies the search results shown to you, and the only purpose for that is to showcase sponsored links. Without a doubt, you want to delete Any Search Manager, and we can help you with that. Follow the instructions below if you decide to erase the hijacker manually, or install an anti-malware program. We suggest the latter option if other threats are found or if you want to strengthen your system’s protection in the future. Speaking of the future, if you want to evade hijackers and other threats, you need to be careful. Do not download anything without doing research first. Do not solely trust the information presented by the creator of the software/services you want to use. Do not trust unfamiliar installers (especially those that offer free versions of otherwise paid services/programs or those that offer bundles). Also, make sure to perform frequent system scans to ensure that you do not overlook malware.
